Muhammad F. Sidat

Muhammad F. Sidat, the CEO and Administrator of Line 90 Football Business & Consulting, a distinguished football administrator from Mozambique, is a prominent figure in African football. With an extensive career in sports management and development, Sidat has made a significant impact on the growth and professionalization of football across the continent.

Sidat served as the Head of Professional Football at the Confederation of African Football (CAF) from December 2018 to August 2024. During his tenure, he specialized in Football Development, playing a pivotal role in transforming CAF’s Club and Stadium Licensing frameworks. His efforts ensured that clubs, leagues, and stadiums across Africa adhered to international standards and operational excellence.

Sidat played a crucial role in advancing CAF’s club and stadium licensing initiatives, ensuring that teams and venues across Africa meet international standards for safety, quality, and operational compliance. Sidat was actively involved in the revamp of CAF’s Club Licensing Online Platform (CLOP), working directly with national associations and clubs to promote structured operations and improve standards in African football. His responsibilities also included evaluating stadiums ahead of major competitions like the FIFA World Cup qualifiers, AFCON Qualifiers and CAF Interclubs competitions, helping ensure that they are equipped to host international matches and meet CAF’s stringent requirements.

Sidat was instrumental in the revision and launch of CAF’s new Club Licensing and Stadium Regulatory Framework, introducing a stadium compliance process for CAF/FIFA competitions. His leadership facilitated the renovation and certification of several stadiums across Africa, making them eligible to host top-tier international matches.

Mr. Sidat holds an undergraduate Sports Administration and Management course at “Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa” in Portugal, the FIFA Master – International Master in Management, Law and Humanities of Sport, programme organised by the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) in Leicester, Milan and Neuchatel, and a FIFA Diploma in Football Law.
